Comodo CA is temporarily not including free base domains/SANs in single name and wildcard SSL certificates. This means these certificate types generated with or * will NOT receive as a FREE SAN. However, if you generate with, you will receive in the SAN field. Comodo CA is actively working on resolving this temporary system bug. The expected ETA is no later than Monday, July 24, 2017. Comodo has been discontinued SGC SSL Certificates

Comodo SGC SSL Certificate is no longer available

The prominent digital certificate provider 'Comodo' has stopped offering SGC Certificate. Comodo SGC Certificates are widely used to upgrade the encryption level of older browser from 40 bit to 128/256 bit encryption. But, now a few numbers of user are using older browser or we can say no-one is using older browser, so Comodo has decided to stop providing SGC certificate.

We'd recommend for following alternative certificate as a suitable replacement certificate.

All above certificates are great alternatives that offer similar features as SGC. If you are still having any confusion or question, feel free to get in touch with us at or Live Chat our support team feel happy to help you 24x7.

Exiting Comodo SGC Users

If you have an existing Comodo SGC that has been issued the certificate will continue to function until expiry.
