Email signing allows the recipient of a message to verify both the sender's identity and the authenticity of the email itself. By applying a digital signature and hashing it and the email, the recipient can authenticate it and will know for sure who sent it and whether it's been tampered with.
What is document signing?
You can also use your Comodo Personal Authentication Certificate to sign documents. Much like with email, a digital signature is applied and the data is hashed. This allows whoever is accessing the document to verify its author and that it hasn't been altered in any way.
